I was introduced to endurance training and Obstacle Course Racing (OCR’s) 10-years ago and fell in love with competing and pushing my mind and body past the ‘glass ceiling’ of my capabilities. My 14 years working in healthcare reinforced my passion for helping people. I was introduced to Rock Steady Boxing, a fitness program targeted to improve the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s, in 2016. I immediately fell in love with the Program which helps so many people and learned the amazing physical and mental health benefits incorporating boxing into training delivered. I have been a daily practitioner of intense cardio boxing with traditional cross-fit training ever since! The training combination of both exercises brought me to a level of empowerment and confidence that convinced me it needed to be shared with others.
